Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple publications is not permitted. If the contribution is based on previously published material, this fact must be clearly stated and it must be evident what the new scientific contribution of the submitted work consists of.

The author is responsible for ensuring that their contribution, or anything related to it, does not infringe the copyright of others, other intellectual property rights, or infringe upon the rights to protection of personality or the reputation of others. Should the editor be subject to a penalty, an obligation to pay damages, or suffer any other financial or non-financial loss as a result of the author’s breach of this obligation, the author shall be obliged to compensate the editor in full for the loss thus incurred.

The proceedings are compiled and published in accordance with the Declaration on Publication Ethics.

Plagiarism and other research misconduct

The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and serious forms of research misconduct.

The following, in particular, are considered serious breaches of research integrity:

plagiarism,

falsification or fabrication of data,

manipulation of results,

unauthorised use of third-party material,

duplicate publication,

fragmentation of a publication with the aim of artificially inflating publication output,

manipulation of citations,

coordinated or unjustified inflation of citation counts,

falsification of authorship,

manipulation or abuse of the peer-review process.

Before a manuscript is submitted for peer review, the editorial board may use software to check for text similarity. The result of this check is not assessed mechanically; the decisive factor is a professional assessment of the nature of the similarities identified.

In the event of suspected research misconduct, the editorial board will follow the COPE guidelines and give the authors concerned the opportunity to respond.

Publication Ethics

Authors are responsible for complying with the ethical guidelines relevant to the type of research conducted.

If a submission contains research involving human subjects, personal data, sensitive data or other specially protected information, the author is obliged to provide details of the relevant ethical approval or other relevant legal or institutional basis, where such a procedure is necessary given the nature of the research.

When handling personal data, authors are obliged to comply with the relevant legislation and ensure adequate protection of the data subjects.

Use of artificial intelligence

The use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of a manuscript must be transparently declared if AI has significantly contributed to the creation of the text, analysis, data processing, translation, creation of visual material or other parts of the scientific work.

Artificial intelligence must not be listed as an author.

The author remains fully responsible for:

the accuracy and originality of the contribution,

the accuracy of citations and references,

the veracity of the data presented,

compliance with copyright and other rights,

compliance with confidentiality and data protection.

When using AI tools, the author must not enter confidential information, personal data, data protected by professional confidentiality, or unpublished material belonging to third parties into publicly accessible or otherwise inadequately secured systems, unless they have the appropriate authorisation to do so.

The editorial team may request further information on how AI was used, if this is necessary to assess the integrity and transparency of the contribution.

Citation and Bibliographic Integrity

Authors are required to cite, correctly and in full, the sources on which their work is based.

Citations must be relevant, verifiable and appropriate to the subject matter. The editorial board does not support the unjustified citation of the authors’ own works, the works of editorial board members or other sources for the purpose of inflating citation metrics.

Neither reviewers nor the editorial board may require the citation of specific works unless such citations are academically justified.

Conflict of interest

Authors, reviewers and members of the editorial board are required to disclose any actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest that could affect the objectivity of the publication process.

Authors must declare any relevant financial, personal, professional or other interests relating to the published article.

A member of the editorial board who is the author or co-author of a submitted article must not be involved in the decision-making process regarding their own article. Such an article must undergo the same external peer-review process as other articles.

Copyright and Licence

The rights to a published article and the conditions governing its further use are governed by the publisher’s rules and the relevant licence agreement.

The terms and conditions relating to copyright, licences, any open access publication and the further use of published articles must be clearly stated in the call for papers and on the proceedings’ website.

The content of the proceedings is made available to authors and users under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=“Download template (SK)“ style=“custom“ custom_background=“#832a7c“ custom_text=“#ffffff“ i_type=“pixelicons“ i_icon_pixelicons=“vc_pixel_icon vc_pixel_icon-document_word“ css_animation=“bounceIn“ css=““ add_icon=“true“ link=“url:https%3A%2F%2Fpoe.pravo.upjs.sk%2Fwp-content%2Fdocuments%2Fsablona_SK_.docx|target:_blank“][vc_btn title=“Download Template (EN)“ style=“custom“ custom_background=“#832a7c“ custom_text=“#ffffff“ i_type=“pixelicons“ i_icon_pixelicons=“vc_pixel_icon vc_pixel_icon-document_word“ css_animation=“bounceIn“ css=““ add_icon=“true“ link=“url:https%3A%2F%2Fpoe.pravo.upjs.sk%2Fwp-content%2Fdocuments%2Ftemplate_EN.docx|target:_blank“][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=“1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=“bounceInLeft“ css=““] Basic guidelines Papers must be submitted using the template provided at the bottom of this page, and the instructions given there must be followed.
