[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=““]The international scientific symposium follows the long tradition of autumn scientific conferences held regularly in the High Tatras since the first half of the 1970s.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the tradition, the symposium is organised in cooperation with the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Institute of State and Law of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n

The symposium aims to connect legal theory and practice, as it invites the participation of both members of the academic community as well as professionals from the relevant legal practices, bank representatives and delegates of the state authorities and government.<\/p>\n

The coordinators of the symposium aim to reflect the relevant legislative changes in the national, European and international legal environment in the symposium\u2019s programme.<\/p>\n

Every year, the organizers of the international symposium try to reflect on fundamental legislative changes in the domestic legislation as well as in the international and European legal area. In recent months, among other important topics, the following areas of scientific and legislative issues have resonated, while the organizers have decided to pay detailed attention:<\/p>\n

  1. Arbitration as an effective tool for resolving commercial disputes<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Commercial law after the adoption of the new Civil Code in Slovakia<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. New legislation in insolvency law and its impact on practice<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. The impact of digital regulation (DSA, Artificial Intelligence Act and related amendments) on the business environment<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The aim of the symposium is to present original ideas, opinions, information and the results of the scientific research within the scope of the projects APVV-21-0336 Analysis of Judicial Decisions using Artificial Intelligence, APVV-23-0331 Capital Market Union Integration: Reshaping Corporate Finance and Rescuing Companies in Distress, APVV-24-0171 Digital balance \u2013 moderating illegal content and resolving disputes on digital platforms, and VV-MVP-24-0038 Analysis of liability for Internet torts with machine learning methods.<\/p>\n

    The aim of the symposium is also to create a possibility for a wider discussion regarding the relevant issues of legal theory and practice and an area for informal meetings and discussions.<\/p>\n
