Prof. JUDr. Mária Patakyová, PhD. is the public defender of rights. She is also a part of the Department of Commercial Law and Economic Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava, where she acts in the position of a professor of commercial law with the liability for the commercial law development. As a member of the Academy of European Private Lawyers, Pavia, Italy, she participates on the unification of the European contractual law (prof. Gandolfi). As a member of the administrative board of Europoean Company Law, International Association, Krakow, Poland, she takes part on the process of amending the proposals enacted in the area of European law of companies and of contractual law.
Prof. JUDr. Marek Števček, PhD. is a professor at the Department of Civil Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. As of 1. February 2019, he acts in the position of the rector (president of the Comenius University). In the period of 2012 – 2015, he was the chair of the Recodification commission for the new civil procedural law. After the conclusion of the recodification process, the Minister of Justice appointed him to the position of the chair of the Recodification commission for private law. In his research, he focuses on different issues from various areas of civil law.
Prof. JUDr. Josef Bejček, CSc. is a professor and the head of the Department of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University, Brno. In his academic and professional practice, he focuses on the issues of commercial law in general, issues regarding the public law regulation of business, competition law, and contractual law.
Doc. JUDr. Jozef Vozár, CSc. is the head of the Institute of State and Law of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In his research, he examines the area of commercial law, financial law, and protection of personal rights and the freedom of expression. He is a member of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic.
Doc. JUDr. Kristián Csach, PhD., LL.M is an associate professor at the Department of Civil and Commercial Law of the Faculty of Law of Trnava University in Trnava. In his research, he focuses on the law of corporations, commercial law, consumer protection, international private and procedural law and commercial arbitration. As of 2010, he is an external lector of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic. He also acts in the position of an arbitrator in commercial cases, including international arbitration.
Doc. JUDr. Bohumil Havel, PhD. is a researcher at the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences and a member of the Czech Government Legislative Council. He is a member of numerous recodification commissions for the preparation of legislative acts. He is also a member of editorial boards of various scientific journals, such as Právník, Obchodněprávní revue, etc.
JUDr. František Sedlačko, PhD., LL.M., an attorney at law, is among the leading professionals in the area of civil law. Except for his practice, he also actively publishes academic papers and is a co-author of numerous academic publications and commentaries. He is a member of the editorial board of the Slovak Bar Association’s Gazette and a member of various recodification commissions.
